The Client The Client by John Grisham takes place in Memphis, Tennessee. It starts out with a little boy, named Mark and his brother passing game into the woods to try and smoke cigarettes. While in the woods, they reference a man cleanup himself. But before he does so, this man checks Mark some very important secrets, which ends up presentting Mark and his entire family at risk of being hurt. This event ends up putting Marks brother in a coma.
